I'm hoping to get Bucky to start providing his yearly movie reviews for us - they were always so entertaining. 1979 in film was interesting and the 52nd Academy Awards, hosted by Johnny Carson kept us in the reality of the day when Johnny joked about the length of the awards ceremony stating that Jimmy Carter, then U.S. President, was negotiating for their release, refering to the Iran hostage crisis.
